lipflip – HP has officially launched the Z2 Mini G1a mini PC in the United States. The company first introduced this compact desktop at CES 2025, building it around AMD’s powerful Strix Halo platform. After releasing the system across the EU and UK, HP now allows US customers to purchase one of the configurations directly from its official online store.

HP currently offers only the AMD Ryzen AI Max Pro 380 model of the Z2 Mini G1a for immediate purchase in the US. This configuration combines the Ryzen chip with a Radeon 8040S iGPU, 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at 8533 MT/s, and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. HP prices this model at $1,999. It targets professionals and creators who need AI acceleration and powerful integrated graphics in a compact desktop.
The Ryzen AI Max Pro 380 is one of AMD’s newest Strix Halo APUs. Offering strong CPU and GPU performance in a single chip. While it’s the only version currently in stock, HP is preparing to expand availability with more powerful variants.

Additional configurations of the HP Z2 Mini G1a are already listed for pre-order at B&H Photo. The Ryzen AI Max Pro 385 variant starts at $2,184.46, while the Max Pro 390 version begins at $2,351.72. A high-end configuration with the Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 395 is also available, priced at $2,887.95. These models come with customizable memory and storage options. Supporting up to 128 GB of RAM and 2 TB of SSD storage.
HP has equipped the Z2 Mini G1a with extensive connectivity options to support both workstation and content creation workflows. The device includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, three 10 Gbps USB Type-A ports, and one full-function USB Type-C port. It also features two standard USB 2.0 Type-A ports, two Mini DisplayPort 2.1 outputs, one 10GbE LAN port, and a combined headphone and audio jack.
The system supports WiFi 7 for next-generation wireless speeds and features a compact, rackable chassis. A built-in 300 W power supply is included to support higher-end hardware configurations. While the design remains small enough for flexible deployment in studios or office environments.
