The camera system records in 3K resolution (2,880 x 1,620 pixels) and supports 9x hybrid zoom, allowing users to capture clear images at a distance. Its triple-camera design includes an upper camera that rotates 180 degrees horizontally and a lower camera that pans 355 degrees horizontally and tilts up to 95 degrees vertically. These pan-and-tilt movements enable full coverage of the monitored area.

One of the key features is motion tracking, where the camera automatically zooms in when it detects human movement. This makes it especially useful for security, helping users monitor any unexpected activity effectively. The camera is equipped with eight lights that provide full-color video even at night. Improving visibility compared to traditional black-and-white night vision.

Users can control the camera remotely via Xiaomi’s app, which sends alerts for unusual activity. The device also includes bright lights and an audible alarm to deter intruders, enhancing its role as a security tool. The camera supports Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, allowing it to integrate seamlessly with other smart home devices.

Features, Connectivity, and Availability of Xiaomi’s New Camera

The Xiaomi Smart Outdoor Camera 4 Pro Triple Camera Zoom edition supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (2.4GHz and 5GHz), ensuring fast and reliable connectivity. Users can store video footage locally on a microSD card or use cloud and NAS storage options for added flexibility and security.

Built for outdoor use, the camera has an IP66 weatherproof rating, meaning it can withstand harsh weather conditions. It also operates in a wide temperature range from -30°C to 60°C (-22°F to 140°F), suitable for various environments and climates.

The device retails for CNY 449 (about $63) in China, making it an affordable option for those seeking advanced outdoor security features. Xiaomi has not yet announced plans to release this specific model outside China, although it offers other outdoor cameras in markets like Europe. For example, the Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW700S is currently available there for around €78.42.
