lipflip – Xiaomi has officially unveiled the TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen) on its global website. This new model is an upgraded version of the original TV Stick 4K released in 2021. The device first appeared at the end of June 2025 on AliExpress, where early buyers confirmed its authenticity. Now, Xiaomi’s listing signals a wider global rollout is imminent.

The TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen) supports 4K video decoding and is compatible with popular HDR formats including Dolby Vision and HDR10+. It also supports immersive audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS-X, ensuring a rich media experience. The device runs on Google TV OS, replacing the older Android TV 11 found in its predecessor.

The inclusion of Google TV brings built-in apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, and Xiaomi TV+. The stick supports Google Cast, allowing users to wirelessly stream content from compatible devices. Additionally, it offers Google Assistant integration with a dedicated voice command button on the remote control.

Physically, the device measures approximately 107.4 x 30 x 14 mm and weighs 44 grams, making it slightly larger and heavier than the previous model. It connects to televisions via HDMI 2.1 and includes a Micro USB port for power.

The new Xiaomi TV Stick 4K features notable hardware upgrades over the original. It replaces the Quad-core Cortex-A35 CPU with a more powerful Quad-core Cortex-A55 processor. The GPU has also been upgraded from a Mali G31 MP2 to an ARM G310 V2, offering enhanced graphics performance. Memory specifications remain unchanged at 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

Connectivity improvements include Bluetooth 5.2 and dual-band Wi-Fi 6, which provides faster and more reliable wireless internet access. These upgrades help improve streaming quality and reduce buffering times on compatible networks.

Currently, Xiaomi has not announced the official global release date or pricing for this second-generation TV Stick. However, it is available on AliExpress at a discounted price of €40.39, down from €54.61. For comparison, the original Xiaomi Smart TV Stick 4K had a recommended retail price of €49.99 in Europe and currently sells for around €44.99 at Mi Store Germany.
