lipflip – LG has introduced the Xboom Buds Lite and Xboom Buds Plus, adding two new models to its true wireless earbuds lineup. This launch extends the brand’s collaboration with musician will.i.am, who previously helped tune the original Xboom Buds released in April 2025. According to LG, both new models deliver a vibrant yet balanced sound, crafted with will.i.am’s input and audio expertise.

The Xboom Buds Plus stands out with its graphene-coated drivers and adaptive EQ that optimizes sound in real time. These earbuds feature triple MEMS microphones designed to reduce ambient noise during calls and music playback. Users can further refine their audio experience using a companion app that provides custom EQ settings and a Noise Cancelling Optimization tool to find the best-fitting ear tips.
The charging case for the Buds Plus brings several standout features. It includes LG’s UVnano2 technology, which sanitizes the earbuds using ultraviolet light. Uniquely, the case can also function as a Bluetooth transmitter for wired audio devices. This makes it possible to stream wirelessly from sources that lack Bluetooth, with support for Auracast allowing multiple devices to receive the same audio stream. Wireless charging is also supported.
LG states that the Buds Plus offer up to 10 hours of listening time on a single charge. With the case, users can expect up to 30 hours of total battery life. These features position the Xboom Buds Plus as a versatile choice for users who want advanced audio technology and practical extras in one package.
Xboom Buds Lite Offers Long Battery Life and Core Features at a Lower Price
The Xboom Buds Lite is aimed at users looking for essential features without compromising on sound quality. Like the Buds Plus, it uses graphene-coated drivers to deliver detailed audio performance. However, its active noise cancellation is less powerful due to its more affordable design. Despite this, the Buds Lite still offers a high-quality listening experience suitable for casual and frequent listeners alike.
Through the LG smartphone app, Buds Lite users can choose from four customizable EQ modes to tailor sound output. While it lacks adaptive EQ, these manual modes allow a level of personalization that adds value to the budget-friendly model.

Battery life is a key strength of the Buds Lite. LG reports up to 11.5 hours of use per charge and a total of 35 hours with the charging case. This extended runtime makes them ideal for travel, workdays, or long listening sessions without frequent recharging.
Both models support Bluetooth 5.4 and allow multi-device pairing, ensuring smooth connectivity across devices. They are set to launch in September 2025, though LG has not yet released full specifications or pricing. As interest in premium and mid-range wireless audio grows, these earbuds signal LG’s continued push to compete in the evolving true wireless market.
