The two new models target premium home cinema, sports viewing, and gaming environments requiring extremely large screen sizes. According to Awol Vision, both projectors are designed to maintain full 4K image clarity at sizes reaching up to 200 inches.

The announcement positions the Aetherion series as Awol Vision’s most advanced UST offering to date. The company states that demand for large-format projection continues to grow among home entertainment enthusiasts. Ultra-short-throw designs remain attractive because they reduce installation complexity and minimize shadow interference.
Both Aetherion models use triple-laser light engines, which typically provide higher brightness consistency and improved color accuracy. Awol Vision claims the projectors can sustain image sharpness at extreme sizes, where UST limitations often appear. The company attributes this capability to its proprietary PixelLock technology.
PixelLock combines optical alignment, mechanical stabilization, and digital correction methods to address pixel drift and color fringing. These issues often become more visible on large UST projections. Awol Vision says PixelLock helps preserve edge clarity and fine detail at 200 inches. Independent testing results have not yet been published.
In brightness specifications, the Aetherion Max is rated at up to 3,300 ISO lumens. The Aetherion Pro is rated at 2,600 ISO lumens. Both projectors are listed with a native contrast ratio of 6,000:1. Awol Vision states that the projectors support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, IMAX Enhanced, and Filmmaker Mode.
The company also highlights enhanced black level processing and dynamic tone mapping. According to Awol Vision, these features analyze HDR content scene by scene. The goal is to maintain highlight detail while improving shadow depth across varied viewing conditions.
Gaming, Software, and Availability Details for the Aetherion Series
Awol Vision places gaming performance at the center of the Aetherion Max and Aetherion Pro. The company claims the projectors can achieve input latency as low as 1 millisecond at 240Hz. Awol Vision also lists support for variable refresh rate and auto low latency mode.
Awol Vision further states that the projectors support Dolby Vision Gaming. With these capabilities, the company positions both models for high-end console and PC gaming setups. Gamers increasingly expect features like these in premium projection products.
On the software side, both models run Google TV based on Android TV 14. Awol Vision confirms that the projectors use a MediaTek MT9655 system-on-chip. The company pairs the platform with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
According to Awol Vision, this hardware configuration delivers smooth navigation and supports demanding streaming applications. The company specifically highlights high-bitrate content and cloud gaming services. Connectivity options include Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7, which Awol Vision says helps reduce latency and buffering.
For pricing, Awol Vision clearly differentiates the two models. The Aetherion Pro carries a retail price of $3,499, while the higher-brightness Aetherion Max costs $4,499.
Awol Vision schedules availability for March 2026. The company also plans to introduce early-bird pricing and bundle offers, which it expects to launch through a Kickstarter campaign starting in late January 2026.
