The ProArt Display PA27USD supports full 4K resolution and reaches a refresh rate of 240 Hz. This combination delivers exceptional image clarity and ultra-smooth motion, ideal for video editors, animators, and VFX artists. With a peak HDR brightness of 1,000 nits and support for both HDR10 and HLG formats. The display promises excellent dynamic range.
Asus includes a built-in colorimeter that can be folded out for automatic calibration. This feature ensures that color accuracy is consistently maintained with minimal user effort. The display offers 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, making it suitable for color-critical work.
The physical design maintains a professional aesthetic, with a matte finish. Front-facing control buttons, and a shading hood to block ambient light. It supports multiple connection options including HDMI, DisplayPort, and Thunderbolt 4 over USB-C. The Thunderbolt port also provides up to 96 watts of power delivery, allowing laptop charging and access to a built-in USB hub.
These specifications position the PA27USD as a flagship solution for creators who seek top-tier performance in color accuracy and responsiveness.
Asus ProArt Cinema PQ09U: A Massive 162-Inch MicroLED Display with 4K HDR
Asus will reveal a second, even more unusual product alongside the PA27USD—the ProArt Cinema PQ09U. This massive 162-inch microLED display will officially debut at IBC 2025. While Asus has not yet shared all the details, it has already confirmed several standout features.
The PQ09U features full 4K resolution and a peak HDR brightness of 1,200 nits. While this is relatively modest by microLED standards, it still offers strong brightness for professional applications. Its most notable characteristic is its perfect black level capability, made possible by individually dimmable pixels—an advantage shared by OLED and microLED technologies.
Like its smaller sibling, the PQ09U delivers 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. This color accuracy, combined with the scale and contrast of microLED, positions the display for use in cinema production, virtual sets, or high-end post-production environments.

The PQ09U appears to serve as a larger alternative to the previously announced ProArt Cinema PQ07, trading some peak brightness for increased screen size. Its massive footprint and high-fidelity display capabilities make it a compelling choice for large-scale creative workflows.
Asus has not yet disclosed pricing and availability for either the PA27USD or PQ09U. However, these new displays demonstrate the company’s strong commitment to delivering professional-grade visual technology. Asus is expected to reveal more details during IBC 2025, where it will present the full ProArt lineup for the upcoming year.
