Man mag von den G8 oder von den Gegnerinnen und Gegnern mit ihren verschiedensten Motivationen halten was man will. Leider steht jedoch fest, dass bei allerlei gerechtfertigten Maßnahmen zum Schutz des Gipfels an vielen Stellen tiefe Einschnitte in rechtsstaatliche Prinzipien hingenommen wurden. Gennant seien hier vor allem der kommentarlose und intransparente Entzug von Presseakkreditierungen und das weitgehende Demonstrationsverbot vor den Augen der politischen Akteure.
Kein Wunder also, dass Russlands Präsident Vladimir Putin derartige Maßnahmen – zurecht – kritisiert und sich – zuunrecht – als "lupenreinen Demokraten" bezeichnet.

I love Mac OS X for two things. At first it has an easy to use interface that's overstuffed with useless eye-candy. Secondly – contrary to Windows – it features an underlaying mature FreeBSD-like kernel and all the standard tools like ssh, grep and Perl.
