Do you remember those mouse odometers that were popular some decades ago? Those useless mini apps that measured the distance your mouse traveled throughout the day? By accident I just found an up-to-date implementation of these time and resource wasters…

Le Tour de Screen is a mouse odometer for OS X that features everything you would expect from a modern application: Not only the distance of your mouse movements is calculated, but this “virtual operating range” can mapped onto a Google Map and a network wide high-score (via Bonjour aka. zeroconf) can can be shown.

What a waste of time…
